On a roll

A quick skirt started yesterday.  This is Colette's Ginger Skirt, view 3 that is cut on the bias to match up stripes.   Again, lots of extra fabric around the hips, but it was easily modified.....

The better part of 2 yards was used on this because of the bias cutting.

I love the look of your new skirt. The waistband is wide and seems to site where I like my skirts. Off to check out this pattern. :-)

It is supposed to be quite high, but I did the view 3, which is the straight waistband. Can't wait to see yours!

Interesting how the stripes form a chevron pattern. Nice looking skirt. There's a lot of talk about Collette patterns on the net - will have to check them out.
