a quickie and not so pretty

A quick self-drafted skirt made of linen that has been in my stash since my son was 10 yrs old.  He is now 18, so it needed to be used!

But the top...well, that was also from my stash, but the results were less than stellar!

~ yards used: 4 yards total - 2 for the skirt and 2 for the top. ~

Thank you Christy... it wasn't so easy to draft. m.

Thank you...they are. The top is just too big for me now, so I am donating it to our local thrift store.

Love it! I do love the brown(?) tank you ended up pairng the skirt with, it makes a nice contrast.

Hi Maria, I agree, the skirt is beautiful. The top is pretty, but if you don't like it for whatever reason, and have other things to wear, then you did the right thing by handing it to the thrift shop so someone else can enjoy it. :)

the skirt looks great with the brown tank, and some lucky woman is going to get that cute blouse.

Oh, I like that skirt. It has a nice drape - something that is good to have with a long skirt. I was just musing about making a pink long skirt to go with some new material I was daydreaming of turning into a peasant blouse - from a pattern I've held onto in my stash 5 years.
Keep sewing.
